With over fifteen years of experience in post-production, I specialize in bringing footage to life through thoughtful color grading. Naturally curious, and equally focused on both the technical and the creative, I love using color, texture, and tone to enhance storytelling and create memorable visuals.
I’m originally from Long Island and studied Radio/Television/Film and Art History at Northwestern University before starting my career at The Mill’s New York office in 2011. After three years of working in the machine room and telecine, I continued my career at Nice Shoes, Conde Nast, and Moving Picture Company, before returning to The Mill under Technicolor in 2021 until its closure in 2025. Since March, I have been working as a freelance colorist and occasionally take on post production management work.
I host virtual grade sessions at my home studio in Jersey City and also offer on-site supervision in Manhattan. I have expertise in using both Baselight and DaVinci Resolve. I’d love to chat about your upcoming project and how I can help! Shoot me an email at ashley@ayarzawoods.com for a quote, availability, or just to chat.
